Cooking has become my favorite hobby, and I have the grocery bills to prove it!

Favorite cookbooks at the moment:

  • The Silver Spoon - This is supposed to be "The Joy of Cooking" of Italy. It sure is comprehensive! I'm working my way through it slowly.
  • Barefoot Contessa - A Christmas gift from my sister-in-law Katie, this completes my Ina Garten collection. I love her recipes for their taste and simplicity.
  • Rachael Ray 365 - Another Christmas gift, from my brother's girlfriend Nicole. Some people love Rachael Ray, some people love to hate her. But I gotta say- I've never had a bad recipe from one of her books. Tonight we had the Warm Chicken Sandwiches with Arugula and Pears and they were quite tasty.

I subscribe to a few different magazines that provide lots of good recipes:

  • Cooks Illustrated
Just got this from Trapp for Christmas- I plan to learn a lot from it!
  • Cooking Light
I've never had a bad experience with recipes from this magazine.
  • Saveur
There are so many interesting articles in this magazine and it makes me want to travel for the sole purpose of eating at different restaurants around the world!

In addition to magazines, I also get my cooking fix through the web and Food Network!

  • All Recipes
There's something comforting about knowing 100 other people have tried the recipe and had success with it before you.
  • Epicurious
I love their little videos that teach you all you need to know!
  • Food Network
I'm a Food Network junky. My two favorite shows are Everyday Italian and Barefoot Contessa.
